Below are the TERMS AND CONDITIONS for the Paradox Wikis contest (Europa Universalis IV).
The Paradox Wikis Contest (for Europa Universalis IV Leviathan) (“Competition”) is managed and promoted by Paradox Interactive, Västgötagan 5, 556667-4759 (“Paradox”, “we”, and “us”). These terms and conditions explain who may participate, the time frame, entries, costs and expenses, intellectual property, disqualification, privacy, notification, prize, taxes etc. Please read these terms and conditions carefully prior to participating. By entering this Competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions. The Competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Swedish law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sweden.
The Competition is open for anyone around the world aged 16 or above. Entrants under the age of 18 require parental consent to participate. Employees (and members of their immediate family) of Paradox, our agents, affiliates, and anyone connected to this competition are not eligible to enter.
The Competition starts at 18:00 CEST on 2021-04-27 and ends at 18:00 CEST on 2021-05-06 and the winner of the Competition will be announced within one (1) week of the closing date. Entries or participation after this time will not be considered.
RULES TO PARTICIPATE
To participate in the competition the entrant must:
- All entrants must register an account on the Paradox Wikis and be logged-in with said account while making edits (one account per user). Anonymous edits are not counted unless they can be clearly connected to a registered user (E.G., in cases where the user was accidentally logged out).
- Any action on the task list undertaken between the start and the end of the contest will earn tickets.
- Entrants should read the style guidelines in order to ensure their edits are up to the wiki's standards.
- Any vandalism will cause all raffle tickets earned by the entrant to be forfeit.
- The entrant must have access to the email address they've defined for their account, as prizes will be sent via email. Note: By default, the Paradox Account email address is used.
Entries that does not comply with the rules, may be deemed invalid at the sole discretion of Paradox. Paradox is not responsible for entries not received for whatever reason, for example, but not limited to technical, hardware or software malfunctions, misdirected entries, lost or unavailable network connections, incorrect, garbled, failed, delayed electronic or other communications or other technical problems related to entries.
Paradox reserves the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage. Paradox also reserves the right to amend or cancel the Competition if circumstances arise outside of Paradox’s reasonable control.
Paradox is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
Any participant who attempts or enters the Competition in a manner, which in Paradox’s determination is contrary to these rules or by its nature is fraudulent or unjust to other entrants including without limitation tampering with the operation of the Competition, hacking, cheating, deception or any other unfair playing practices such as intending to threaten, annoy, abuse, or harass any other entrants or Paradox and/or any of its agents or representatives, or who submits an illegible or incomplete entry may be rejected from the Competition at Paradox’s sole discretion.
There will be three (3) winner(s) of the Competition in total. The winners will be the three (3) users with the most tickets earned during the contest time period.
Each winner will receive the following:
- A special wiki themed avatar and icon to be used on the Paradox forums.
Additionally, each winner will get to pick their product(s) of choice from the Paradox Web Store up to the amount they won:
- 1st place can pick at an amount up to $60 USD.
- 2nd place can pick at an amount up to $40 USD.
- 3rd place can pick at an amount up to $20 USD.
Notes: Can be used for any combination of digital goods (regular retail prices) in a single occurrence, does not apply to physical goods, winner's product keys will be delivered by Paradox Wikis administrator SolSys.
The prizes stated above have no alternatives. They are non-transferable and cannot be sold. If due to circumstances beyond reasonable control of Paradox, Paradox is unable to provide the above stated prizes, Paradox reserves the right to award substitute prizes of equal value. All prizes are subject to the terms and conditions of any supplier. Any taxes due on the prize will be paid by the winner. Paradox’s decision as to those able to take part and selection of winners is final. No correspondence relating to the Competition will be entered into.
The winner(s) will be contacted by the email which is listed on winner's Paradox forum account. Paradox is entitled to select alternative winner(s) from among the entrants If the winner(s) cannot be traced after reasonable efforts made by Paradox. A list of all winner(s) will be available on Europa Universalis 4 Wiki:Contest page for thirty (30) days following the day of the selection of winners. Paradox reserves the right to choose another winner if satisfactory proof of age and/or parental consent is not received (if applicable).
